Your babies grew up to be cowboys

Gary Fitzpatrick
Gary is still playing regularly. His main band these days is The Sick and Indigent Song Club. They've released two albums on Millenium Boy Records and are currently planning an album of sea shantys which will be recorded in a maritime museum. He also plays solo, and with Barry McCormack and Christine Beepbeep. He collects banjo's, banjourines, banjo mandolins, banjo ukuleles etc.

Oona Fortune
Oona DJs every Sunday in The Gypsy Rose and various other nights in Dublin and London. She's currently singing country with Oona and the Devils, and rockabilly with Oona Fortune and the Pavement Kings.

Gary O' Growney
Gary has gone up the country and we haven't heard much from him recently.

Stan Erraught
Stan is working on becoming a doctor of philosophy. When he's not doing that he plays cricket with the Bohs supporters cricket team.

Tim Rogers
Tim is based in Westport and plays with Tim Rogers and the Clew Bay Critters.

Alan Murphy
Alan is occassionally drumming with Gary Fitzpatrick in his Dead Zoo project and also working with Eugene Ryder, Maura O' Boyle and Annabella Stover who he previously played with in Venus Envy.

Pat McGauley
After The Squares Pat played bass with The Dudley Corporation and Joan of Arse but is not involved with them at the moment.

Marc Carolan
Marc is doing live sound for Muse.

How they had more fun

Pat Clafferty
Is currently in his own words "jamming out some tunes with two nice chaps up in the wilds of Inishowen, Co. Donegal. No internet stuff. No home demos. No myspace. Just good old fashioned live melodic rock 'n roll with vintage amps, drums and bass." Keep an eye out for them playing in and around Derry.

Brian Gough
Is still playing guitar and making the odd piece of electronic music (mainly for his own amusement). He did a remix for Halfset a few years ago, and has done some work with David Turpin.
He also does the odd bit of graphic design.

Fin O' Leary
Is not playing music with anyone at the moment. In recent years he has played with A Lazarus Soul and Nina Hynes.

John Duff
Is missing in action. If anyone has any info pass it on.

Derrick Dalton
Unfortunately Derrick died two years ago. His last band was Crumb. This year saw the release of an album of solo recordings as Aeromodeller on the yesboyicecream/disques fridge label.

Jill Hahn
Is playing a lot of trad music nowadays, on the mandolin, tenor guitar and tenor banjo. She will hopfully be recording a CD's worth of trad tunes sometime next year.

Eric Stover
Eric was until very recently the last in a long line of drummers for Dunshaughlin indie rock behemoths Large Mound. Then he briefly provided a rock steady beat for completely devolved ace power pop slingers Retarded Cop, who eventually mutated into Hot Colossus.

Eric Butterfield
Eric's main project in recent years is Sons of the Golden West. He played guitar and drums on their self-titled CD. They're no longer performing live but continue as a recording project. He also plays guitar in another band called The Commissioners which performs in San Francisco/Oakland clubs.

I'm not sure if I got all the various members of the early line-ups included. Feel free to pass on any relevant info for inclusion.

Time heals all wounds

The further adventures of Female Hercules

Female Hercules continued on for many years becoming a truly great live band whipping up a storm where ever they played. In their live incarnation they were often joined on keyboards by John Hegarty, and occassionally the infamous Benny Sessions. They released a couple more EPs. You can get them on the snazzy new rekcollecter blog, but over the years they slowly ground to a halt, never really officially breaking up.
Singer and guitarist Michael 'Conzo" Connerty re-joined spazzmo garage punks Moutpiece where he continues to whip up a storm on a regular basis.

After a number of years of inactivity Female Hercules have played twice in 2010 so who knows what the future holds?

Gone

What did Joyrider do next?

After leaving blunt Joyrider released a bunch of singles and an album on Pardox records.
Simon Haddock is currently playing with Trucker Diablo.
Phil Woolsey was in Roque Junior but they don't seem to be active anymore.
I've no more information and the web is not yielding much.
If anyone has any info pass it on and I'll add it to the post.

Rekcollector

Check out blunt's sister blog, it will feature some rare and lost gems from back in the day.

And here we are back where it all started with Pet Lamb, after them having been through the big label grinder. This was the last release on the blunt label. I've added an extra track to this post, a remix of Six String Goal by Decal that didn't feature on the cd.

knee jerk 001 - zip up your boots for the show bands

This compilation was put together when a big music business seminar came to town. It features all the bands that blunt worked with and many more.
The only thing I remember about it was a few gigs on a boat moored outside The Funnel where I met the A&R man who signed Pet Lamb and Wormhole to Roadrunner Records. He had moved on to greener pastures by then. The cover was done by Niall McCormack.I like to believe U2 got the name for their song "Zip Up Your Boots" when Eno played them a copy of this one day in Marrakesh in an attempt to inspire them.

Female Hercules - Inside You

blunt 005 - Female Hercules - Painkiller

Finally we released a regular black vinyl 7 inch. However it's got 4 tracks on and plays at 33.

blunt 004 - Joyrider - Getting That Joke Now

Joyrider were from Portadown and not part of the Dublin scene as such, but they were mates of Andy's so that's how we ended up working with them.

At this point Andy became involved with the label.

blunt 001 - Pet Lamb - Paranoid from the Neck Down

So Paul and Dan decided to start a record label. One sided 12 inch vinyl. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Can't remember how many of these were made, 500 or 1000.
